Great news, we’re starting in-person rehearsals from 17th May outside the Quay Theatre. If you’d like to attend, please contact us so we can manage our social distancing arrangements. Concert plans include singing Vivaldi’s Gloria and Faure’s Requiem on 5th September, subject to the further relaxing of Covid rules.

We had bright sunshine and a great crowd for our socially distanced Christmas Concert on Sunday. Our masked singers sang their hearts out, and thanks to David (conductor) and Sara (accompanist)’s stirling efforts we pulled it off! Thanks also to all the planners and cleaners who kept us safe, and Sudbury Town Council.

For the first time ever we’re having our Christmas Concert outside St Peter’s, Market Hill Sudbury on 20th December at 2.00pm. It’s only for an hour to keep everyone safe and warm. Come and join us for some festive cheer!

Due to the changing COVID-19 situation our AGM on 28th September will now be online only (via Zoom) at 7.30pm instead of in-person at St Peter’s. We want above all to keep our members safe. Please contact Carolyn, our secretary if you haven’t received an email invitation.

John Chillingworth is formally to become conductor of Sudbury Choral Society in April 2021. Our members are being given the option of joining Zoom rehearsals starting 15th June until 24th August. They’ll be run by John Chillingworth who is taking over from David Butcher as our conductor. John is coming to us from Lexden Choral Society, bringing a wealth of musical experience. We wish David all the best for

Sadly we have had to cancel/postpone our spring and summer concerts because of the COVID 19 virus. We will resume normal activities in September 2020. In the meantime, keep well and safe! Keep
