Our Concerts

All our concerts unless otherwise stated are in St Peter’s, Sudbury.

Tickets are available online from the The Quay Theatre and in person from The Tourist Information Centre, (Sudbury Library) or Compact Music, North Street Sudbury, on the door or from members of the Society.

Spring Concert 2018: Sunday 15th April 7.30pm

The Creation – Haydn. Soloists are local baritone Mark Saberton, sopano Jessica Robinson, tenor Robert Gardiner accompanied by an invited orchestra.

Summer Concert 2018: Sunday 24th June at 3.30pm

‘Ahoy! Sing for the Mary Rose’ – Alexander L’Estrange, with Bures Primary School Choir.

Autumn 2018: Sunday 18th November at 7.30pm

Haydn’s Nelson Mass, and Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light, plus soloists and an invited orchestra.

Christmas 2018: Sunday 16th December at 2.45pm

A seasonal celebration with audience carols, readings and special guests The Accidentals.

Spring 2019: Sunday 7th April at 7.30pm

Handel’s Messiah (Parts 1&2), with soloists and an invited orchestra.

Summer 2019: Sunday 23rd June at 3.30pm

A light concert based on the theme of childhood.

Magnificat by CPE Bach, Solemn Vespers by Mozart, with soloists and an invited orchestra

Christmas 2019

A seasonal celebration with audience carols and Alexander L’Estrange’s ‘Wassail’

Spring 2020

Faure’s Requiem, Poulenc’s Gloria, with soprano and bass soloists and an invited orchestra.
